Focus: Transmission, imagined territories

Making use of rather different languages and narrative strategies, these films lie between the realm of heritage and the imagining of specific territories, be they topographic or virtual, dreamed or lost. From 1960s Taiwan to Sokolo, Mali; from an imaginary Bavarian Yodelburg, from where the Philippine lunar mission is launched, to rural France; from Canada feeling nostalgic about the beatnik craziness to an island between Argentina and Paraguay, by way of YouTube’s space. Reinventions of places of belonging or sheltering spaces, from geopolitics to ecology, from colonial memory to the dream of freedom.
