Abandoning a life of petty crime, David strives to fulfil his life-long ambition of becoming a professional fado singer. Together with his best friend Adriano, he starts performing in Lisbon’s fado vadio circuit in order to perfect his craft. Adriano’s strong voice swiftly brings him attention and paid gigs, whilst David struggles. Vadio is a portrait of a community of professional and amateur fado singers and their audience.
