“On December 28, 2016, I travelled to Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty and made two 30-minute shots, one starting at 8:57 in the morning and the other at 3:12 in the afternoon. Between the two shots, a weather system passed through from the west bringing with it a brief period of light snow. The morning sky of blue gave way to grey clouds, the wind lessened, but the temperature remained the same, much below freezing.” James Benning
