Jonas Mekas is perhaps the most irreverent independent filmmaker. In the 60s, he was responsible for transforming the New York underground cinema scene into a cult and now, at the age of 87, he is still provocative. Doclisboa 2009 will be showing 25 hours of his work, including his latest offering: «An American Film Director at Work: Martin Scorsese».
