Doclisboa wants to question the present of film, bringing along its history and assuming cinema as a mode of freedom. By refusing the categorization of film practice, it searches for the new problematics that cinematic image implies, in its multiple ways of engagement with the contemporary.
Doclisboa tries to be a place to imagine reality through new modes of perception, reflection, and possible new forms of action.
Green Years – Opening Session
The Green Years opening session is a special moment, establishing a connection between three relevant elements of its expansion in recent years: the work stemming from the first La Guarimba Award, a residence in the city of Cleto, southern Italy, by Robin Petré; last year’s invited school, the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design; and this year’s invited school, the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
