There are love stories the years cannot erase. Israeli director Ido Haar Grandfather’s was an officer of the Red Army and never sought out the young Jewish woman who bore him a daughter (Ido's mother) during World War II. More than 50 years later, Ido urges his mother to seek out her father, who has quietly retired to Siberia to forget the past. A simple phone call will reawaken the dormant volcano of emotions.
