Mãe Fátima |
| Christine Reeh |
| Portugal, 2009, 80’ |
| Fatima, a 70-year-old Angolan nurse, decides after years working in Portugal to return to her home country. She wants to set up a humanitarian health mission in one of the regions most affected by the recent civil war. In Menongue it’s necessary to restore the local hospital that doesn’t have running water or oxygen supplies. The smell of garbage and death infiltrates people’s skin and soul. You have to believe in something to be able to face the next day. |
