| Filmed in 1949-1963, Lost. Lost, Lost documents the early years of exile experienced by Jonas Mekas after his arrival in New York, and his initial personal artistic experiences. It is a record, too, of his contact with the Lithuanian immigrant community, the drama of displacement, his constant anguish and frustration as he becomes aware of political and social tensions. And all of this in a place where he desperately hopes to put down roots. |
