| This year, millions of Iranians poured onto the streets to protest against their government. This elicited a violent response from a militia group known as the Bassidj. Prior to this, though, Ehran Tamadon had managed to penetrate the world of the Bassidj and spent three years talking to the most extreme supporters of the Islamic republic of Iran in his quest to understand their beliefs. |
