| Acacio and his wife are an unusual couple from Trás-os-Montes, Portugal who are somehow representative of a certain Portuguese tale. Acacio’s personal memories and his magnificent archive of images allow us to relive a life spent between rural Portugal in the 1950’s, the mirage of the colonial dream in Angola (in the mines of Dundo, where Acacio was a photographer), the traumatic return to Portugal where he doesn’t fit in, and building life anew in Minas Gerais(Brazil). |
