LISA DOBY + DJ  MD GIMBA
Using her powerful voice, Lisa's music draws from a broad set of references that range from Genesis to the Beatles to the Police. Curiously, she turns these 'white' influences 'black' with her robust and secure voice recalling those of Joan Armatrading and Tracy Chapman. Lisa's musical journey began with gospel back home in North Carolina. She later learned violin and trumpet and belonged to several bands before arriving in Europe and the main stages, as a background singer for an 18-month tour with Patricia Kaas. Lisa has shared the stage with Seeed, Lucky Peterson, Solomon Burke, Joe Cocker, and opened for Ray Charles' last ever tour.

RITA LOBO & CALU MOREIRA + DJ XUXAS
The singer Ritinha Lobo (Maria Rita Isabel de Sousa Lobo) was born on the island of Sal in Cape Verde in 1976 into a family of musicians that includes the troubadour Ildo Lobo, her cousin.
Endowed with a warm, resonating voice and an impressive stage presence, Rita Lobo promises to be the next big sensation coming out of the already very rich musical heritage of Cape Verde.
Calú Moreira began his career, still young, in the night scene in Cape Verde, where he would listen to the traditional mornas and coladeras. Before arriving in Portugal in 1997, he belonged to bands like Grito de Mindelo and Granada and later joined up with talents like Tito Paris and Leonel de Almeida in his début in Portugal at the Discoteca En'Clave. For four years he was the resident singer at Espaço B.leza, where he would delight the audience with a varied repertoire of world music.

FADO VADIO + 'UNIDOS DO LAVRADIO' ALENTEJO CHOIR
For the last few months, under the direction of the viola-player Vital Assunção, fado vadio (amateur fado) has captivated crowds at Maxime, just like in the fabulous 'good old days'. From 10.30 pm until the wee hours, anyone – whether Portuguese, Angolan or Japanese – can take to the microphone for their moment of fame, Lisbon-style.
As the saying goes, 'wine inducts and fado instructs'. This is the Portuguese version of karaoke without the lyrics on the screen, the life of a people, the life of each and every one in musical momentum. No network.

Doors open: 10.00 pm
Concert starts: 11.00 pm
Free entrance

MUNCHEN + DJ XUXAS
München began in 1999, coming out of exploration and experimentation with a broad range of sounds and musical languages from the limits of the acoustic potential of different instruments.
It is the sound of a new acoustic urbanity.
München is a toy music group – there are in fact musical toys. München is a small chamber orchestra: they play classical guitar and viola. München is a rock band: they play the drums and electric guitar. So, where does that leave them? It leaves them seated while playing.

Doors open: 10.00 pm
Concert starts: 12 midnight
Tickets: 8 euros (includes one drink)
