Program

It's one of the first "woman-talking" documentaries, centrally concerned with what it is to be a woman and with bringing visibility to a woman's point of view. Four old women speak movingly to the camera on their experience of the General Strike and life in the 1930s and 40s in a depressed South Welsh mining village.
