The Suffering Grasses: when Elephants fight, it is the Grass that suffers
Cinema of Urgency
In solidarity with the Syrian people and filmmaker Orwa Nyrabia, who has gone missing from Damascus Airport on August 23, 2012. Over a year later, with thousands dead, the conflict in Syria has become a microcosm for the politics of the region, and a reflection of the world at large. Against the backdrop of the Arab Spring, and the toppling of Moammar Gaddafi, the film explores the Syrian conflict through the civilians who have been killed, abused, and displaced to refugee camps. Film shown at CINEMA OF URGENCY session 2 together with Cheap Tickets and Saa'bor Ghadane / I will cross Tomorrow.
