In Vladimir et Rosa, Godard and Gorin use a primitive genre of comic cinema to make a political comedy: the result is a film in which not only the characters, the scenography and the costumes are burlesque but the mise-en-scène, the structure and finally the film language itself are pure burlesque too. A non-hierarchical bunch of funny fragments.
