Portrait of a renegade known simply as "Benjamin", an underground legend, occasional drag queen, and HIV positive. While the film revolves around his work with the indescribable band named Smoke, it's a window into a little-known, rapidly disappearing pocket of the American South and above all, an exploration of the life of a true American rebel.
