In 1981, the INA commissioned a medium-length fiction film to several movie directors, with only one restriction: unity of place. During a prolonged absence, Akerman had lent her apartment to some friends. On her return, one of her friends comes back and settles in her apartment. The film is the diary of this undesired and obsessive cohabitation.
