The intimate story of a Connecticut couple in the sixties, Charlie and Allys, told by their own words and images, that turned to psychiatry in order to help their marriage and submit themselves to daily sessions of group and individual therapies. Instructed by their doctors to record their discussions, this unconventional couple is a victim of a traumatic system that promotes the use of drugs and shock therapies, showing a family’s struggle to reconstruct themselves and the moral image of an era.

A young Israeli woman director who served in the Israeli Army in occupied territories collects the terrible statements of six women who, in obedience to military logics, like her, committed shameful actions: the humiliation of civilians, the rape and killing of innocent people, pictures taken at the side of murdered victims. The innocence and emotion which they speak with about that period contrasts with the dramatic content of their confessions: “My hands are full of blood”.

For a few years, filmmaker Isaac Isitan lived inside Brukman, an Argentinean clothing factory on the verge of bankruptcy and expropriation after a social revolution made by women workers. An epic film, The Women of Brukman tells the unique story of a cooperative formed against the background of Argentina's devastating economic collapse, working to give these women their jobs back. An example of success and persistence that created a movement of hope in Argentinean society and that became a sociological “case study”.

Bab Sebta means “the door of Ceuta” in Arabic. It is also the name for the passage between Morocco and Ceuta, the place where all of those who come from several parts of Africa converge to try to get into Europe. Bab Sebta, travels through four cities to meet the time and voices of these travelers.

António Dias Lourenço, 94 years old, communist, remembers the years of incarceration in the Peniche Fort during the fascist dictatorship in Portugal, focusing on the episode of his escape in 1954. The escape, which reveals a remarkable physical courage, is what the film intends to show. Revisiting the old high security prison, Dias Lourenço remembers the adventures he went through. It was after a one-month’s punishment in “the secret” (a small cubicle without light reserved to the worst punishments) that he decided to plan one of the most successful and spectacular escapes.

While looking for personal school experiences, director Catarina Alves Costa came across the everyday life and routine of a factory that never shuts down, day or night, and of those who work there. Inside its corridors and enormous machines, we follow the workers’ daily life as they talk about different professional and scholar experiences.

A documentary about Homeostética, an art movement born in Lisbon in the early 80’s by Fernando Brito, Ivo, Pedro Portugal, Pedro Proença, Manuel João Vieira and Xana. Using humour in order to distance themselves from the art world, Homeostética cultivated an outsider attitude with strong dada influences, producing an intense body of work that included exhibitions, texts, manifestos, films, rock concerts and other collective performances.

Most come from impoverished homes marked by beatings, alcohol abuse and absent. Alone in Four Walls listens carefully to what children have to say.
