Two young Nigerians leave the interior lands of Niger to look for work in Ivory Coast. They get stuck in Treichville, a popular neighbourhood in Abidjan, uprooted from the contemporary world. The hero, who calls himself Edward G. Robinson, in honour of the American actor, forging an ideal personality, tells his story.
