Rouch wanted to make an authentic report on the problems facing young people, black and white, in a secondary school class in Abidjan, shortly before the independence of Ivory Coast. He proposes that the 11th grade students put on a psychodrama. The holidays put an end to the interaction between the two groups, but something seems to have changed.
