Sheppard spent several weeks in the areas freed by the PAIGC in Guinea-Bissau, making a documentary which shows organised life in the freed regions and explains the beginning of the struggle and training of independence troops. Apart from the presence of several high-ranking guerrilla commanders, there is an important interview with Amílcar Cabral.
