JORIS IVENS RETROSPECTIVE
A film tribute to the Vietnamese people and struggle. The documentary was filmed in a village in North Vietnam, near the 17th parallel, the border with South Vietnam. Ivens and Loridan lived for four months with the local population, sharing their tough living conditions and witnessing the devastation of the American bombings. One of the rare films that shows the war in its daily reality, the life in the underground, and the organization of the defence.
