The film documents aspects of the life of João dos Santos (1913-1987) that contribute to a reflection on the contemporariness of his thought. A physician, specialising in psychiatrist, João dos Santos was a pioneer in the organization of child mental health services in Portugal. His extensive knowledge and his active civic engagement attracted a vast group of disciples and intellectuals from different fields.
