In a region of the state of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, several communities from villages and “favelas” (slums) fight for basic infrastructures still inexistent in the 21st century. The people decide by vote which of the works is a priority. But between participative democracy and representative democracy coexistence isn’t always easy.
