The film recounts how the inhabitants of São Tomé e Príncipe live, on earth, with the spirits of the dead. It focuses on the life of Nijo and the spirit he canalizes for some years now, Nove Nove. “Na terra como no céu” attempts to understand how the world of the dead lives side by side with the world of the living, how aspects of cultural tradition reconcile with contemporary life.
