Directed for television, the documentary focuses on the Munich Peace Agreement and analyses the collective deresponsibilization towards Hitlerian reality. It is marked by the underlying presence of the director in the testimonies, by the peculiar use of archives, and by the primordial attention to music, characteristic of Ophuls’ films.
