“I see all my films as one symphony, one composition, one note, if you like. I decided to make a film about Frank Zappa in 2000, after seeing a retrospective of his work at a festival in Holland, and I wanted to pay homage to him. I’ve seen all of the Zappa-films as a kind of rehearsal and part of a process that lead me to this feature documentary.”
