INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION - FEATURES
Bricks are manufactured in Africa, India and Europe and used to build clinics, children’s homes, schools and residential buildings. Farocki observed the different steps of the manufacturing process. Bricks are cast, fired or pressed by hand, machines or robots. Farocki merely offers material: the viewers have to make their own comparisons between the terms traditional and industrialized.
