Doc Alliance selection films and juries for the 2019 Doc Alliance Award were announced.<\/p>\n
In 2019, Doclisboa nominates Odyssey<\/a><\/strong>, by Sabine Groenewegen. In the film, undefined intelligences analyse an assemblage of signals they produce about an infected planet when a resistant matter comes and disturbs the flux of stories, time and space they are trying to understand. Interrogating coloniality and its rhetoric, Odyssey<\/strong><\/a>, world premiered in Doclisboa’18<\/strong>, evokes questions about the stories were told and our possibilities to disrupt them. Doc Alliance is an international network, an initiative from seven European documentary film festivals: CPH:DOX Copenhagen (Denmark), DOK Lepizig (Germany), FID Marseille (France), Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival (Czech Republic), Docs Against Gravity (Poland), Visions du R\u00e9el (Switzerland) and Doclisboa (Portugal). It aims at promoting and supporting documentary cinema, with a focus on independent and authoral films.<\/p>\n Every year, the seven festivals nominate 1 film and 1 jury. All 7 films run for the Doc Alliance Award \u2013 5.000 euros<\/strong> aiming at the prodcution of a new film.
