With the end of a cycle, a new path begins. In doclisboa’s Closing Cerimony, the new directors of the festival were announced: Joana Gusm\u00e3o, Joana Sousa and Miguel Ribeiro.<\/p>\n
JOANA GUSM\u00c3O<\/strong><\/p>\n Joana Gusm\u00e3o\u00a0studied\u00a0English\u00a0Literat JOANA SOUSA<\/strong><\/p>\n Joana de Sousa is a filmmaker and film curator. She holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Right after finishing her studies, in 2010, she worked as a producer in two editions of Queer Lisboa \u2013 International Queer Film Festival. Since 2011, she is a member of Rabbit Hole, a Lisbon-based collective and artistic platform for creation and experimentation. In 2012, she was awarded a scholarship to attend the international MA in Documentary Filmmaking – DocNomads. Her graduation film,\u00a0B\u00e9tail<\/i>\u00a0(2014), was screened and awarded in several film festivals worldwide. She is currently Programme Coordinator and Programmer of Doclisboa – International Film Festival and has participated as a curator and jury in festivals and art spaces in Lisbon, Oporto, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Tel Aviv and Copenhagen.<\/p>\n MIGUEL RIBEIRO<\/strong><\/p>\n Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Miguel Ribeiro studied Communication Sciences, in NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Since 2012 and until now, he is holding duties as a programmer and programme coordinator of\u00a0Doclisboa – International Film Festival. \nHe is a former member of the artistic collective Rabbit Hole, an artistic platform and collective for creation, experimentation and curatorship. Through several collaborations, Miguel has developed a series of curatorial programmes between film, performance and visual arts and is a regular presence in panels, talks and festival juries – such as Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival, Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife, M\u00e1laga Film Festival, among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
