After Oleg and the Rare Arts, Andrés Duque returns to Slavic territory. Karelia is a region located between Russia and Finland whose culture is on the fast track to disappear. For this reason, and based on his moving friendship with a local family with whom he hangs out and talks, Andrés Duque sets himself out to dig up the past (Stalin’s purges and Soviet repression), but also the growing rigours of globalisation.
