Doclisboa wants to question the present of film, bringing along its history and assuming cinema as a mode of freedom. By refusing the categorization of film practice, it searches for the new problematics that cinematic image implies, in its multiple ways of engagement with the contemporary. Doclisboa tries to be a place to imagine reality through new modes of perception, reflection, and possible new forms of action.

Maui Alena

Artistic producer and coordinator of BAFICI’s Professional Area during 6 editions, and member of the Buenos Aires Film Commission in 2011 and 2013, working on the internationalisation of national films. Coordinator of the Work in Progress section at the Mar del Plata Film Festival in the last 6 years. Audio-visual consultant at the Buenos Aires Young Art Biennial since 2014. Creator of Spacehippie, an animation studio where he works as executive producer, in 2013.
