Doclisboa wants to question the present of film, bringing along its history and assuming cinema as a mode of freedom. By refusing the categorization of film practice, it searches for the new problematics that cinematic image implies, in its multiple ways of engagement with the contemporary. Doclisboa tries to be a place to imagine reality through new modes of perception, reflection, and possible new forms of action.

Lisbon Docs

International Financing and Co-production Forum for Documentary Film

Lisbon Docs is one of the main documentary film workshops and pitching events in Portugal. In its 18th edition, it stands as a benchmark for filmmakers and producers interested in developing new tools and strategies to finance and co-produce their projects.

Public Pitching Sessions

The projects are presented to a panel of commissioningeditors and decision-makers from documentary funding institutions and leading channels in international co-productions. To be in the audience is a unique chance to observe what works and what does not work in today’s international documentary market and to learn about possible ways of financing, co-producing and broadcasting.

OCT 20 and 21 / 09.00 am to 01.00 pm, Culturgest – Small Aud.

The sessions will be held in English.
Open to the public, within the availability of seats.
