Dedicated to African art, the film is also about colonialism’s ravages in Africa and class struggle and it explains and make us feel how the beauty and mistery of what was then called black art were corrupted. The film proves that – as Marcel Graule said – African thinking “matches the Greek, Roman, Chinese or India’s civilizations”.
