Doclisboa continues to increasingly focus on younger audiences, expanding its Education Service to more sessions for a wider range of school grades and activities. One of the goals of this festival is to train audiences, and that is why we make such a strong investment in the relationship between school communities and movie theatres. The goal of our workshops, films, and debates is to complement and diversify the contents of the various subjects, and thus foster curricular and extra-curricular knowledge, cultural and scientific repertoire, as well as sensibility and interest for documentary films, critical reflexion and participation. In the scope of its action, a conference is held previewing the Education Service sessions to give pedagogical guidance to teachers, according to the grade and subject they teach. Once again DocEscolas and Docs 4 Kids implement its propositions and activities, as well as the Playground and the Sessions for Families.
PREVIEW CONFERENCE
Once again Doclisboa hosts this event for teachers and educators to make a detailed presentation on the exclusive screenings for schools – from primary schools to universities. According to the different academic levels and fields, some footage will be screened and material with pedagogical suggestions will be handed to all participants.

Herman Slobbe is a blind 14 year old boy. He loves music and has his own radio show. One day his mother takes him to the racetrack and – on their way back home – he makes a perfect imitation of the engine’s roar. Later on, at the amusement park, Van der Keuken asks him to talk about what he feels about the world around him.
