"It’s the Earth Not the Moon", by Gonçalo Tocha, wins prize at the Independent Film Festival of Buenos Aires 2012

At the 2012 edition of the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema (BAFICI) , the award for Best Film in the Cinema of the Future competition went to "It's not on Earth on the Moon" by Gonçalo Tocha.


"It's not on Earth on the Moon" received the City of Lisbon award for best mid or feature-length film in the last edition of doclisboa - International Film Festival.


The BAFICI 2012 also included a complete retrospective of the work of João Canijo, with the presentation of " Tabu" by Miguel Gomes and the short films "Red Dawn" by John Rui Guerra da Mata and João Pedro Rodrigues and "Palaces of Pity" by Gabriel Abrantes and Daniel Schmidt and also the Portuguese co-production "Bonsái".

"Yama No Anata / Beyond the Mountains", by Aya Koretzky, receives the Prize New Talent at the National Competition/ RESTART and the Special Jury Prize at the International Film Festival Panazorean.

 

"Yama No Anata / Beyond the Mountains" by Aya Koretzky received the Doclisboa award for best mid or feature-length film of the Portuguese Competition and also the Restart Award for best mid or feature-length film of the Portuguese Competition at doclisboa 2011 - International Film Festival,

 

 

"Praxis" at the festival Visions du Réel

"Praxis", by Bruno Cabral, will be in the short film international competition of the festival Visions du Réel, that will take place from the 20th till the 27th of April at Nyon. "Praxis" received the best short film award in the last edition of doclisboa - International Film Festival.

 

 

"The Way You Are" awarded at the Festival Cinéma du Réel

The Portuguese documentary "The Way You Are" by Pedro Filipe Marques, won a special jury mention at the Festival Cinéma du Réel 2012, which ended this week-end in Paris.

"The Way You Are" had already won the prize for Best First Film at the national competition of DocLisboa 2011.

 

The documentary “ Generation Orchestra”, by Filipa Reis and João Miller Guerra was also in the international competition of the Festival Cinéma du Réel 2012.
