Workshop & Pitching Apordoc — Portuguese Documentary Association and EDN —
European Documentary Network organizes the thirteenth edition of
Lisbon Docs, a co-production and financing forum for documentaries,
which will take place from 17th to 22nd October.
If you are a producer and/or director with a project with international
appeal, Lisbon docs will offer you a week of intensive creative work,
consisting of:
Workshop where 18 projects of documentary films will be developed
and presented. Pitching public session with 10-12 commissioning editors and
financiers
WORKSHOP
– 18th, 19th and 20th of October (from Tuesday to Thursday)
The workshop is taking place on October 18-20, but is kicked off with an intro dinner on the evening of October 17. In the intense working atmosphere of the pitching workshop, the 18 selected documentary projects are discussed, developed and turned upside down by colleagues and a tutor team of internationally experienced professionals. The tutors of the workshop will be:

- Nick War, Documentary Consultant, UK/France
In addition to the tutor team the experienced Danish editor Jesper Osmund will be at the workshop to provide individual consultation on the improvement and shaping of the pitching trailers/pilots.
PITCHING SESSION
– 21 and 22 of October (Friday and Saturday)
+ Individual Meetings with Commissioning Editors On October 21 and 22 all projects are pitched to a panel of 10-12
Commissioning Editors from leading international TV-channels. We will
add the names of the commissioning editors as soon as they have
confirmed their participation.
Following the pitching session match made individual meetings will be
scheduled between the 21 pitch teams and the financiers to discuss
the potential for further collaboration.
