Doclisboa wants to question the present of film, bringing along its history and assuming cinema as a mode of freedom. By refusing the categorization of film practice, it searches for the new problematics that cinematic image implies, in its multiple ways of engagement with the contemporary. Doclisboa tries to be a place to imagine reality through new modes of perception, reflection, and possible new forms of action.

An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power Session followed by debate with Al Gore’s intervention

An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power will be screened on October 26, 6pm, at Culturgest’s Grand Auditorium. A decade after An Inconvenient Truth brought climate change to the heart of popular culture, comes the follow-up that shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution. Al Gore continues his tireless fight to influence international climate policy.

The session will be followed by a video contribution by Al Gore and a debate in the presence of João Camargo (Climáximo), Júlia Seixas (Climate-KICCENSEUNL), Sérgio Ribeiro (Climateers) and Sónia Balacó (actress, environmental activist), moderated by Francisco Ferreira (ZERO). Al Gore will participate with a video intervention.

Session in partnership with The Climate Reality Project and ZERO – Associação Sistema Terrestre Sustentável.
