Karen Akerman is a director and film editor. In partnership with Miguel Seabra Lopes, she directed Incêndio (2011), October is Over (2015), Maybe Desert Perhaps Universe (2015) and Confident (2016). Her work was screened and awarded in film festivals such as Locarno, Toronto, Roterdam, San Sebastian, Havana, Cinéma du Réel, Visions du Réel, Doclisboa, Indie Lisboa, Brasília and Rio, among others.
