The celebration of St. Lazarus day, at the El Rincón sanctuary, 15 miles away from Havana, serves as a reflection on different forms of religiosity. St. Lazarus and Babalú are the Catholic and Yoruba (African-Cuban religion) versions of the saint of skin diseases.
