Am I next?

OCT 27 / 9.30 pm, São Jorge – Montepio Cinema

In the summer of 2014, the assassination of Michael Brown focused the attention and the debate on the right to impunity held by the police. In the US, the internet was a field of sharing of a series of atrocious attacks by police officers, denoting in each action the perpetuation of racism and prejudice. In Portugal, cases of police abuse in social housing districts, such as Cova da Moura, illustrated here by Plataforma Gueto or by anonymous cameras, multiply. It is the active hand of ghettoization policies.

Session followed by a debate, moderated by Miguel Ribeiro
