The last moments of Yukio Mishima. The gesture of death as a radical act and its dignity. In November 1970, Mishima barricaded himself in the headquarters of the Japanese defence and called for the return of imperial society. He then committed seppuku. Mishima represents how extreme actions may become when a shift is necessary in the face of a (self) destructive policy.
