In January 2013, Doclisboa has become the seventh member of Doc Alliance project, initiative that comes from the partnership of six other European documentary film festivals: CPH:DOX Copenhagen (Denmark), DOK Leipzig (Germany), FID Marseille (France), Jihlava IDFF (Czech Republic), Planete Doc Film Festival (Poland), Visions du Réel (Switzerland). The goal of this partnership is to support, systematically, documentary filmmaking, giving directors and producers alternative ways of distribution, both through its online platform (www.DAFilms.pt), and through its members-festivals towards their audiences.
